About Me

Hi, my name is Sreedevi (also go by Sree) and I’m a social worker/psychotherapist based in Toronto, ON. I work primarily from a therapeutic space that is relationally and trauma focused.

I believe healing truly happens when you feel genuinely seen, understood, and accepted without judgment. When you start therapy with me, we'll begin by exploring your experiences with curiosity and compassion. We’ll focus on developing a deeper understanding of the parts of yourself that have learned to protect you, the patterns that no longer serve you, and the underlying experiences that shaped them. I believe that therapy is a co-created space between a therapist and client where trust, collaboration, authenticity, and vulnerability is essential. My job is simply to act as a witness in your journey to re-alignment with your self.

In my 7 years of experience, I have grounded my work in a variety of modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS). IFS is a compassionate and psycho-spiritual approach that helps to create a more healing relationship with yourself that can last a lifetime. I have completed advanced training through the IFS Institute and I am currently completing my Level 1 certification. I also draw from psychodynamic and somatic approaches, narrative therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness based approaches, tailoring therapy to your unique needs and goals.

I also enjoy supporting individuals navigating bicultural identities and cross-cultural experiences. I root this work in my own lived experience as a first generation Indian immigrant, who moved to Canada when I was young. I’ve learned first hand how balancing different cultural expectations, family values, and generational differences can influence identity, relationships, and mental health in complex ways. I strive to create a culturally responsive space where every part of your identity is welcomed, respected, and explored with curiosity and care.

Alongside this work, I often support clients navigating experiences of grief and loss. You may be grieving the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, changes in your family, the loss of a hoped-for future, immigration and leaving behind familiar people and places, or a version of yourself that no longer feels attainable. Together, we'll create space to honour your loss while helping you move forward in a way that feels meaningful and authentic.

Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you've spent a long time carrying things on your own. Whether you're looking to better understand yourself, break free from patterns, develop healthier boundaries, or create more fulfilling connections with yourself and others, I'd be honoured to support you.

I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation to answer any questions you may have and determine whether we're a good fit.
